Y2O3(Yttrium Oxide) has been of some interest for applications in short-wavelength laser systems and AR coatings for the IR region because of its relatively high index and wide transmittance range from the UV to the IR region. Its refractive index at 550 nm is 1.87 and its transmittance range is from below 300 nm to 12 μm. This refractive index makes is quite suitable as a moderate-index material
